Where do I start?

The Dog training world can be very overwhelming. There are so many different techniques and such little regulation. I want to minimize the confusion for you.

Intake Form and Service Agreement:
Please click the links in the ready to get started section. This allows me to go into the evaluation or first puppy lesson with some background set up. The service agreement is an agreement between you and Wild Side to make sure we are under the same understandings of the services expected.

Evaluation:
If you have a dog that is over 6 months old you should start with an evaluation. This evaluation will give us time to craft the perfect training plan to meet your needs which includes determining your training goals, deciding how many sessions will be needed to obtain that goal, providing personalized handouts to refer to in between lessons, and so much more.

Puppy Package:

If you have a puppy under the age of 6 months you can still book an evaluation, but you don't have to if you are wanting the typical puppy training. Typical puppy training looks like potty training, crate training, setting the basics to reduce jumping, pulling on leashes, or lunging for dropped food. The puppy package also allows for training to begin before the puppy is fully vaccinated so you can begin training before their critical learning period closes! This allows your puppy to absorb massive amounts of information very quickly that will follow them into adulthood. The puppy lessons are 45 minutes because puppies do not have the capacity to pay attention for longer than a few minutes at a time. While giving your puppy "brain breaks" we will go over any questions you might have, or troubleshoot issues that have come up in between lessons.

All other lesson packages:
After the evaluation, we will set up those private lessons. Private lessons are an hour long. Part of that time will be warming your dogs brain up to get them in the working mode. The next session of the lesson will be reviewing what was worked on between lessons. After that we move on to the main concern of that lesson. At the end of the session we will have a short recap of how your dog seems to be responding to the training. We will also review what will need to be practiced before the next lesson.
